Quasimodo is released under the GNU General Public License, Version 2.

However, it is distributed with several files, all in a directory
named "opcodes-non-gpl", which are made available under a license from the
Massachusets Institute of Technology, documented in the file
CSound-COPYRIGHT. These files contain a copyright notice detailing
their availability under the MIT license. They may not be copied,
distributed, modified or otherwise used unless such use falls under
the terms and conditions of the MIT license.

For example, if you decided to try to sell Quasimodo, you may not
include these files as part of your version.

You are, however, granted permission to use Quasimodo in way that
causes it to load compiled version of these files so as to accomplish
useful ends.

You are not granted permission, and none should be considered
implicit, to distribute a version of Quasimodo that relies upon, or
uses any additional files not released under the GNU General Public
License. The existence of the MIT licensed files in the distribution
merely reflects my decision to use them, and does not imply any right
on your part to aggregate Quasimodo with other non-GNU General Public
License modules, whether or not they are linked at compile time or at
run time.

If you want to help make Quasimodo completely free, consider
reimplementing the functionality provided by those files, and releasing
your work under the GNU General Public License.
